Overview

As a Route Driver for Pax & Beneficia, you'll ensure our freshly roasted coffee and products reach our cafés and wholesale partners in a timely manner. This role is essential to maintaining our supply chain from our warehouse and roastery to multiple locations. You'll be responsible for safely transporting products while representing our "Peace & Blessings" philosophy through reliable service and positive interactions with café staff and wholesale customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver coffee beans, supplies, and equipment to Pax & Beneficia café locations and wholesale accounts
  • Load and unload delivery vehicle according to established procedures
  • Verify order accuracy before departure and upon delivery
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for all deliveries and returns
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage
  • Collect signatures and delivery confirmations from recipients
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse team and delivery recipients
  • Report any delivery issues or customer feedback to management
  • Conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any concerns
  • Follow safety protocols for lifting and transporting products
  • Maintain clean and organized delivery vehicle
  • Assist with inventory management at the warehouse when needed

Daily Tasks

  • Review delivery schedule and prepare routes for the day
  • Perform vehicle safety inspection before departure
  • Load vehicle with correct orders for scheduled deliveries
  • Transport products safely and efficiently to designated locations
  • Verify order receipt with café managers or wholesale partners
  • Complete delivery documentation for each stop
  • Report any delivery exceptions or special circumstances
  • Return any undeliverable items to the warehouse
  • Clean and organize delivery vehicle at end of shift

Requirements

  • 3+ years of management experience in specialty coffee, food service, or retail
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and financial performance
  • Experience leading and developing teams across multiple locations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities (A MUST)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations regularly
  • Passion for coffee and alignment with our company values
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
