Overview
As a Store Manager, you are the driving force behind daily operations, team performance, and the overall guest experience. More than just overseeing the café, you are a leader, coach, and empathetic, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects Pax & Beneficia’s mission of "Peace & Blessings." From opening to closing, you are responsible for leading your team, maintaining high operational standards, and fostering a culture of hospitality and excellence.
Your role is to balance efficiency with experience—ensuring smooth operations while curating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members. This includes managing inventory, optimizing labor, upholding quality standards, and maintaining a clean, organized café environment. You set the tone for success, ensuring your team is engaged, informed, and consistently delivering exceptional service.
Hourly Pay
- 16.50/hr - 17/hr + Tips ($6/hr Average)
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team—setting clear expectations and providing coaching to foster growth.
- Create and maintain a positive, people-first culture that aligns with Pax & Beneficia’s values.
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to ensure accountability and development.
- Handle shift scheduling, labor management, and team communication efficiently.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth daily operations, from opening to closing, by effectively managing workflow and delegating tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, ensuring all cleaning protocols are executed.
- Uphold quality standards for coffee, food, and overall service.
- Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, product consistency, or operational efficiency.
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Lead by example, providing genuine hospitality and ensuring team members do the same.
- Handle guest interactions, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Ensure all team members are trained in hospitality best practices, creating an experience that is both efficient and memorable.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor COGS, labor percentage, and overall sales, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders proactively to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Execute cash handling, daily deposits, and sales reporting with accuracy.
Product & Quality Control
- Ensure all beverages and food items meet Pax & Beneficia’s quality standards.
- Train and coach team members on coffee brewing techniques, drink consistency, and kitchen prep procedures.
- Oversee and execute new product rollouts, ensuring team training and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience in food & beverage or hospitality required.
- Passion for coffee, hospitality, and team development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing labor, inventory, and operational costs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- A hospitality-first mindset—putting people and experience above all else.
