Roaster Notes:

This sophisticated natural brews a complex and zingy cup. Fresh from the brewer and piping hot, grape and floral notes fill the mouth with a whole vineyard of expression. The body is syrupy and sweet with notes of candied lemon on a light graham cracker crust. My brain took me back to my summer waiting tables at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House of Granbury sneaking lemon meringue pie in the back between rushes. The finish is just as pleasing as the start with tropical notes of mango lingering on your tongue begging you to go back for more. Every sip reveals something new. What a beautiful journey this coffee is for the palette, and we are so lucky to have this impeccable harvest from the community in Alaka Village as our summertime drip.

Importer Notes:

“Alaka is the name of a village located at an altitude of about 2,000 metres in the woreda of Hambela, in the Guji appellation. It is here that METAD took over the management of a beautiful coffee forest at the end of the 2010s. The area is known for its majestic trees of numerous species. Their shade, combined with rich soils, contribute to the production of a rare quality of coffee.  The cherries are harvested by METAD, then dried in the sun on African beds.”
